Piracicaba, 23 - Supply of banana prata variety may be controlled in November and smaller in December in main regions. Therefore, producers expect better prices in the following weeks. In October, supply was high due to good climate for development of banana bunch. Because of this scenario, prices (BRL 0.80/kg to prata, in average) were 33% under production cost last month in north of Minas Gerais state, main producer region of prata variety. This situation hadn’t occurred since November 2015, according to Hortifruti/Cepea data.
