Piracicaba, 23th – During the first half of 2022, carrots quotes reached the high level of Hortifruti/Cepea time series. Between January and February, the rains affected the production in the main producing region (São Gotardo, in Minas Gerais state) – which contributed to low production until June. After that, during the winter season, weather conditions were favorable to the crop, recovering the carrot supply, and prices fell sharply. In November, quotes reached the lowest level of the year BRL 14.20 between November 14 to 16, a drop of 5.3% in relation to the previous week.
