Piracicaba, 18 - Lettuce areas have been favored due to a period of drought in São Paulo state. Productivity increased significantly last month and volume rose sharply. Lettuce quotes were 10.38% lower in July than June and tend to remain in August. Besides that, the forecast for this weekend (19th and 20th) is rain in Mogi das Cruzes (São Paulo state), which could damage lettuce crops. However, the amount of rainfall expected is not high and production could recover.
