Piracicaba, 26th – High supply of European fruits may affect sales of Brazilian mangoes to Europe. Summer is harvest period for berries, typically planted in the continent, such as blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, among others. So, demand for tropical fruits is smaller, since Europeans tend to consume local fruits.
In this scenario, Brazilian mango growers and exporters are concerned about prices, that were satisfactory until last week (16th to 20th of July) in national and external markets. Between the end of July and August, the trend is a reduction in shipments to Europe.
