MANGO/CEPEA: Exports decrease in June, but set a record in the first half of 2024 See photos

Piracicaba, 26 – Brazilian exports of mango decreased from May to June. According to Comex Stat data, 6.5 thousand tons were shipped in June, a decrease of 46% in comparison with May. Revenue also fell 41%, reaching over US$ 10 million.

Despite the reduction in Ivory Coast shipments to Europe, Brazilian exports were not high in this period because of low supply in Vale do São Francisco (Pernambuco and Bahia states), the main exporter region. Moreover, prices in the domestic market were high, reducing the attractiveness of the external market.

Even with a decrease in monthly shipments, it is important to remember that accumulated exports in the first semester are breaking records, with an increase of 13% in volume and 84% in revenue above the same period of 2023
