Piracicaba, 03rd - In April 2021, Brazilian mango exports had the best April in history, considering Secex data, which started in 2004. Last month, Brazil sent 18.3 thousand tonnes of mangoes, 38% higher than in the same month of 2019 - that month was the record until now. Revenue totalized US$ 19,7 million, an increase of 26% in the same period.
According to Hortifruti/Cepea collaborators, even with lower prices in Europe, Euro valuation against Brazilian Real kept the external market attractive. Moreover, local demand increased, since Peru reduced shipments and exports from Africa were still slow.
