Piracicaba, 12th – Mango season in Livramento de Nossa Senhora (Bahia state) started in the end of March, and is forecasted to intensify this month; this region will be the main supplier to Southeast, considering the end of São Paulo’s season, in March.
This month, mangoes from Livramento competes with palmer and tommy varieties from São Francisco Valley, and palmer variety from North of Minas Gerais state. Besides that, mango production may not be high, contributing to balance supply and demand.
