Carrot harvest in São Gotardo (Minas Gerais state) was late due to low temperature in July, which resulted in higher supply in August. Yield reached 2.800 boxes of 29 kg per hectare, according to Hortifruti/Cepea consulting. Therefore, prices dropped to BRL 8.00 per box. However, low supply in other states such as Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul should increase carrot demand from São Gotardo in September.
